This is a small island that I think is fun to play. If you are looking for a world that you can play long term this one isn't for you. Think of this as more of a mini game.

You will need the WA exp pack and the latest patch to play this.

There are two CC items and I included them in the Zip file. Just copy them to your mods folder. A thatched roof by qbuilderz at MTS and a grass hut texture from Chikoko Sims.
Here is a link to Chikoko Sims
http://chikakots3.pi...g/post/29957237

The island has no rabbit holes and no roads. I built it so I could play a sort of castaways type game. I plan to play a sim that lives off of the land. Fishing and gardening and collecting. There are several tombs on the island that your sims can explore. This was my first try at building tombs so they aren't very complex but I think they are kind of fun. They all require keys to enter so you must play them in order. There is one key on the island that opens the first tomb and that tomb has the key for the next one. There are three unfurnished huts and a food store where your sims can buy groceries and that's it as far as buildings go. Please note, you must have two sims for the food store to work. The game assigns the second sim as a clerk in the food store. There are eight empty lots so you can rezone and add stores if you want to.

I hope you have as much fun playing it as I did building it.

Edit: Uploaded a new version. Fixed a glitch in the waterfall and replaced the huts with better looking huts. At least I think they are better looking.

You make such pretty scenery Richdre. I never decorate my hoods. I'm too lazy :teehee:

I stopped playing Sims 3 several months ago but when they released the World Builder I started again. Building your own worlds is a real kick. :)

The best part of playing a small Island is being able to have the game open for days at a time without having to reload it.

Richdre I am so glad you are having fun with your game again, you are doing some lovely work, can't wait to see what you come up with when you get really good. :teehee:
I will be trying your worlds when I get back into 3 again, eventually. :good:

I gave my copy to my granddaughter but never got around to uninstalling it. I still don't play it except to test my new worlds. The World Builder is the only part of the game that I really enjoy. :)

I was slightly tempted to download the World Builder but as I said before, I can't see making things for a game I don't want to play. I'd rather fire up SC4 and make new terrains for TS2. While TS2 terrains may not be as pretty, the fact is, unless world-creators decorate the TS3 Worlds, they aren't pretty either. TS2 might be limited in some ways but at least I can move a hood-deco-tree that is in my way without needing a world building tool to do it. :fnorky:

Maybe you could make things for your bestest buddies at Crazy Town who just love everything you make and really really miss being able to use Sleepy creations... :( Not that I know anyone around here like that - just sayin'... :whistling:

SC: I understand exactly where you are coming from but SQ is right. With your talent you could build awesome worlds. Well maybe someday. :)

:pullhug:

Your both very sweet but I'm not that talented. Trif certainly builds better looking houses then my boxes :teehee: and for worlds, well I think between you richdre & Trif, everyone will have some great new worlds to play in. My minimal talents are not needed.

Of course my bestest buddies could always return to TS2...

Yes, richdre and Trif are very talented to be sure, but every creator has their unique contributions and yours for TS2 (and 3, with your re-creation of your much-loved and drooled over TS2 characters) were different from theirs. I see richdre and Trif as detail people, which is wonderful because their houses and yard always have the touches that I would have left out and yet so enjoy having, as well as the architectural details that completely escape me. However, you are a big picture/big project person who delights in the grand scheme of things - witness your hoods fully populated with your characters, vampires, aliens, university hoods attached, as well as your Bottoms Up project and let us not forget your glorious SimPE makeovers of practically every character that EAxis ever made. So, ummm, your minimal talents? Puh-leeze  - sell that to someone who doesn't know any better... :D
